OUR STORY
It all started with one hive.
In 2006, Tom Killian acquired his first beehive and quickly became fascinated by the world of beekeeping. He began reading, learning, and discovering everything he could about caring for honeybees. Before long, one hive grew to ten, and Killian's Wild Foraged was born.
Caring for Bees, Supporting Our Community
Over the years, Tom and Frank have built lasting relationships with California farmers, local ranches, and wineries that share their commitment to sustainable agriculture. At Killian's Wild Foraged, we believe healthy bees start with thoughtful care and a healthy environment.
We pay close attention to the land surrounding our bee yards, including the availability of local forage, access to fresh water, and the proximity of other bee colonies. These considerations help us create conditions where our bees can thrive while supporting the agricultural communities we work alongside.
From Local Wildflowers to Pure Raw Honey
One of the sweetest rewards of caring for healthy, thriving bees is the honey they produce.
Our honey reflects the diverse landscape of Mendocino and Sonoma Counties, where bees gather nectar and pollen from local wildflowers and other plants. The result is a variety of distinctive flavors, from light and delicate to dark and bold. Each variety offers a taste of the local landscape and the changing seasons.
We believe honey is best enjoyed as nature intended. That's why we keep our honey raw and unprocessed, preserving its natural character and the unique flavors that make each harvest special.
Every jar of honey reflects our family's love of beekeeping and our connection to the land and community we call home. Thank you for supporting local beekeeping and being part of the Killian's Wild Foraged story.
From our family to yours,
The Killians
